On their recent tour with Midtown and Reel Big Fish, I was able to interview Jeff, Mingus and Ryan of Catch 22. I also have a conversation with Mingus of Catch 22 about the presidency. Hear it HERE.

Catch 22 Interview

Question: What are your favorite bands to tour with??

Mingus: Reel Big Fish

Ryan: Suicide Machines

Jeff: We've had fun touring with everybody we've toured with.

Question: What do you think of Napster?

Mingus: It's a long answer, everyone has their own opinion .

Jeff: I change my mind every day.It's good, it's bad, it's good ......

Mingus: Ups and downs

Question: What do you think about their making themselves a subscriber service?

Jeff: That's fine with me, what ever they want to do.

Question: What's the most unusual thing that has happened to you during a concert?

Mingus: most unusual?.

Jeff: I lost my pants last night and I was walking around naked.

Ryan: That was pretty weird on stage.

Mingus: One time I broke a string.

Jeff: One time a guy got up on stage and started getting naked, one of the bouncers. I guess he was drunk or something but he started getting naked.

Ryan: I guess he was really getting into it.Jeff: We were doing our rap song so he got all into it. I guess that's the weirdest thing.

Ryan: Except for the Coors light chicks

Mingus: We played at the Stone Pony, and midset these....

Jeff: amazing women came on stage. We were throwing out free things for Miller-Lite, we looked out into the crowd, and we realized that the crowd was all 14 year-old's.

Question: What is your favorite place to play?

Pat and Ryan: Club LAGA in Pittsburg.

Mingus, Ryan and Jeff: The Metro in Chicago

Mingus: Club LAGA, they treated us great from the first time we played there, unlike some clubs.

Question: Where is the first place you would choose if you were organizing a tour?

Mingus: We've already headlined at one point or another all across the contry and in Canada.What would be our best spot? .

Ryan, Mingus, and Jeff: Home, New Jersey

Ryan: We usually have pretty good tours along the eastern seaboard.

Question: How did you decide you wanted to be a musician?

Pat: It's definitely diffrent for everyone. I didn't really have much of a choice in it.
Jeff: I had to take ballet lessons.
Mingus: Let it go, just let it go.(laugh)

Jeff: I would start twitching and cursing and....

Mingus: I've been playing since I was younger.

Ryan: Music has always been a part of my life, so I just took it to the next step.
Mingus: Becoming a musician is such a logical step.

Ryan: I've always been better at that than anything else.

Question: Who are some of your influences?

Mingus: Beastie Boys

Ryan and Jeff: Everyone has their own influences,you can pick any musical style, and somewhere it is represented.
